Pankaj Bhanot

Pankaj may be the most talented of us all and current Club
Captain. He is a highly effective spinner. He is dangerous
with the ball in his hand and the club's main strike bowler.
He is spirited in the field, possessing agility and a strong
arm. He is a good team player. He can either open the
batting or come down lower in the order for stability and
some quick runs.
Picture
  Peter Watson

Peter plays with a straight bat and enjoys giving the ball a big
hit. He can bat up the order and tries to put quick runs on the
board. A medium pace bowler who has the ability to generate
wickets. The club's diplomatic officer, Peter is charged with
settling most disputes.

Deon van Niekirk

Deon is a good athlete and as most South Africans, he is
extremely competitive. He enjoys bowling and batting with
a steady, straight bat. Quick and reliable in the field as
well. Even more impressive are his social skills after the
match
    Jolon Wagner

Good natured individual with all-around ability. Generates
sufficient drift and turn with his bowling to cause problems. He
puts in a lot of effort in the field. Jolon plays with a straight bat
and shows promise as an upper order batsman. He brings
an Aussie Rules football so we can have a few kicks and
giggles.

James Lawrence

James is the quickest and more accurate bowler in the
club. He played formerly for the Surrey Under-21 side. He
is an effective opening bowler and a solid fielder. He can
produce runs with the bat as well, especially with his lucky
bat from England. Off the pitch he is relaxed and good
natured.
    Mebs Virji

Mebs is one of our newer members. He has an unusual
bowling style but seems more confortable with the bat in his
hands. He brings enthusiasm and a good attitude to the club.
Mebs is a big English cricket supporter which always is
appreciated so that we have someone to the piss out of.

Lazar Joseph

All-rounder who is undoubtedly the hardest hitter of the ball
in the club. Does not like to waste time at the crease
getting settled and playing himself in. Loves to hit fours
and sixes. Can build a big total in a matter of minutes. A
useful bowler, who is much quicker than his short run-up
may suggest. Our club's version of Wasim Akram.
    Robert Cowie

"Snail Bob" is an all-rounder who can hold up an end with the
bat, bowl a few overs of slow, frustrating spin, and
undoubtedly the keenest fielder in the side. Extremely
dangerous in the covers or in mid-wicket area. Robert has
toured to Canada and California with the club. Useful in the
pub after the match. He has a fond appreciation for women,
ale and snails, but not exactly in that order.

Nevin Field

Plays the game with much enthusiasm.  Pleasant to be
around both on and off the field.  Nevin enjoys batting up
the order and he plays with a straight bat.  Nevin bowls
medium pace and he is an athletic fielder.
    Trevor Page

Trevor is a good natured player who gives 100% in the field.
Trevor plays with a straight bat so it will be just a matter of
time before he finds his touch a produces some big totals.
Great gentleman, not opposed to a trip to the pub after the
match.

Bishnu "Ram" Ramsarran

Plays the game with passion and exuberance. Penetrating
medium pace bowler who can produce important
break-throughs. Hard hitting middle order batsman and he
runs aggressively between the wickets. Outspoken club
member who is very socialable. Oversees club travel
documentation and the naturalization of overseas players.
    Ambrish Shahi

Another player who plays the game with unbridled PASSION. A
medium pace bowler who bowls with a variation to his action
which gives batsmen fits. He is a good fielder, seems to be at
the right place at the right time. He will always have a throw at
the stumps if you struggle to make the crease. Enjoys hitting
the ball, it does not take him long to find the sweet spot.

Owen O'Callaghan

Owen seems like an intelligent cricketer who can bat up
the order and pace a solid innings. Plays with a straight
bat, but he will punish the bad ball. Strong fielder close to
the bat, particularly behind the stumps. Owen is level
headed and a lot of fun off of the field.
    James Foster

This volcanologist-cricketer when he is not inside a Big Island
volcano or in Antartica. A useful wicketkeeper and middle
order batsman. James has continued to develop as a
batsman and is a steady contributor with runs. He can bowl a
few overs of swing and useful at the pub. Intelligent and witty,
level headed in tight situations.

attacks with surgical precision. Straight bat in a crisis.
Former member of the Indian Air Force XI. Bowls tidy
off-spin and has a good set of hands. A relaxed outlook on
the game and life. Enjoys having a post-match beer and
handy in all medical emergencies.
  Dustin Mapson

Dustin is relatively new to cricket. What he lacks in technique
he more than makes up for with hand-eye coordination and
natural ability. He plays with a high level of enthusiasm and an
eagerness to learn more about cricket. Dustin is the master of
the drag bunt, a shot he is introducing to the game. He will
also knock the ball out of the ground with powerful sixes. He is
also developing nicely as an opening bowler mixing in yorkers
with deliveries on a good length.

Steve Pratt

Aggressive player from "Down Under." Steve enjoys the
pure competition of sport and he plays hard. This
sometimes involves bowling short, hard throws for the run
out or going for a big six. He wants the new ball and is
prepared to challenge the batsmen. With the bat he is a
creative stroke player. Watch out for the legside
boundaires! Currently in England.
    Jerry Digitaki

Extremely athletic cricketer. Useful medium pace bowler.
Handy fielder and a lower order batsman who plays with
intelligence. Plays a full compliment of shots and useful in a
run chase. Very socialable during and after the match. Great
company and dedicated club member. He can be persuaded
to perfom a "Haka." Jerry has made large batches of kava for
the team.

Rodger Brown

Rodger is orginally from New Zealand, but do not let that
fool you; he is a great guy! Rdoger can bowl effective
medium pace and he can swing a straight bat too. We look
forward to having Rodger around for a time to come.
    Dean Blansford

"Deano" or "Dean Machine" as he is often known is a great
guy! Just happy to be out in the filed with the boys! Good
sense of humor and attitude on the field. Dean likes to bat,
bowl, drink beer and chat about rugby. He is good with the bat,
just needs a little work on technique. With the ball he
generates good lift! Nice guy, but not the best athlete in the
family.

"Blosson" is a keen cricketer with all-around ability. A
medium pace bowler and a strong middle order batsman.
Produces a bit of swing and a bit of cut. With the bat he
enjoys cutting and pulling. Constantly working on his
game so expect good things from him in the coming
months.
    Lal Singh

Great competitor and club member. Singh is keen as mustard
to play cricket. He enjoys opening the batting at smashing
balls through the square leg area. Playing himself in while
playing through the "V" means nothing to this man. A good
fielder with a strong arm. Full of spirit, an excellent socializer.
Enjoys brandy, beer and good company. Currently stationed in
Texas...

Mark Berwick

All-rounder who has been playing for 12 years, including a
two year stint in Australia. Enjoys hitting the ball hard, can
bowl left arm orthodox or medium pace, and an agile
fielder. Claim to fame is being the only American to have
played cricket on the Sydney Cricket Ground. He is the
current Club President.

the ability to get a wicket or two in his short bowling spell.
    Andrew Candelet

Andrew is an all-rounder from England. He bowls on a good
line and length and he has a steady pair of hands in the field.
Andrew's batting style seems to have been modeled after the
great Geoffrey Boycott. The longer that you occupy the crease
the more runs you will make.

Russell Freeman

Wise, veteran of the game who has played at higher levels
in New Zealand and in Central Africa. Keeps a tidy wicket
and bats very striaght. Perfect compliment to any tour.
Keen to play the game and tour anywhere. One of the
leaders in post-match festivities. Extremely good natured
individual who embodies the spirit of club cricket. Prone to
volunteer his house for cricket social engagements.

medium pace bowler and an energetic fielder. When batting
he does not like to waste much time. Ragu enjoys hitting
boundaries.

Clay Sutton

Clay is a member of the Australian Army stationed in
Hawaii for the next three years. He appears to be quite
skilled and we expect big things from him once we are
able to blast the rust off of his game. Clay bowls an
effective medium pace that it on the spot. He is a good
fielder and a promising bat. Clay is as competitive as you
would expect for an Aussie.

bowls slow medium and he enjoys putting willow on leather.
